Emerging Issues in the Northwest Straits

The Northwest Straits is a dynamic region. With 2 million additional people expected to call the Puget Sound/Georgia Basin home by 2020, climate change on the rise, and growth in new industries and markets, opportunities and unexpected problems are constantly emerging. As the Northwest Straits Initiative continues to evolve, it will be important to anticipate new issues and develop projects to address these as they arise. This section offers a snapshot of hot topics in the Northwest Straits and will be updated as new ones emerge.
