13th Annual Northwest Straits MRC Conference
The 13th Annual Northwest Straits MRC Conference was held December 2-3, 2011, at the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend. This year featured guest speaker Dr. Milton Love. The conference is an important opportunity for regional networking, training and project sharing for MRC and agency representatives and project partners. Jefferson MRC hosted a field trip to their Maynard Beach Restoration site on Friday morning.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Milton Love
Rockfish guru Dr. Milton Love’s attended our conference with his latest book, Certainly More Than You Want to Know About The Fishes of The Pacific Coast.
An Associate Research Biologist at the UC Santa Barbara Marine Science Institute Dr. Love is founder of the Love Lab and co-author of the preeminent book on rockfishes of the Northeast Pacific. You can purchase his book through his web site at http://reallybigpress.com.
